1. Overview

Sleep Simple for OURA (“the App”) is a web application that connects to your Oura Ring account to provide personalised sleep coaching and recommendations. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, and what we do not do with it.

2. Data We Access

To provide sleep coaching, the App requests read-only access to the following data from the Oura API on your behalf:

  • Sleep stage data (total sleep, REM, deep, light sleep)
  • Sleep scores and readiness scores
  • Heart rate and HRV data associated with sleep sessions
  • Sleep timing (bedtime and wake time)

We access this data solely to generate personalised sleep insights and recommendations displayed to you within the App.

3. Data Storage

Sleep Simple for OURA does not store your Oura health data on any server we operate. All data is:

  • Fetched directly from the Oura API at the time of your request
  • Processed in memory to generate your recommendations
  • Displayed in your browser session only
  • Not retained, logged, or written to any database

Your Oura access token is stored securely in your browser (local storage) to maintain your session. It is never transmitted to our servers.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, rent, or disclose your health data to any third party. The only data transfer that occurs is between your browser and the Oura API directly.

5. Oura API & Third-Party Services

This App uses the Oura API. Your use of Oura’s services is governed by Oura’s own Privacy Policy, available at oura.com. We are not affiliated with Oura Health Oy. Access to your Oura data requires you to grant authorisation via Oura’s OAuth flow, which you may revoke at any time through your Oura account settings.

6. Cookies & Analytics

The App does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. We may use minimal, privacy-preserving analytics (such as anonymous page view counts) to understand how the App is used. No personally identifiable information is collected for analytics purposes.

7. Children’s Privacy

This App is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect or process data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has used the App, please contact us.

8. Your Rights

As the App does not store your personal data, there is nothing for us to delete or provide upon request. If you wish to revoke our access to your Oura data, you can do so at any time via your Oura account settings. For any privacy queries, contact us at the address below.
